These posts are coming out rapid fire now that we have stable internet 🙂
We’re realizing that we look a lot like the Mystery Science Theater 3000 characters in some of these videos… But at least you can always see the dinosaurs!
This museum was a late addition to our dinosaur trip in Japan. But we are very glad we added it. The area (to be shown in a future post) with all the animatronic dinosaurs was an especially nice surprise. The previous two museums both had theaters which were all in Japanese so we skipped them. We thought that’s what was happening in the “time travel room” but it turned out to be a really well put together dinosaur experience. There was information announced in Japanese, but the videos and animatronics were great!
As a random aside, the museum is across the street from “Space World” which has a (nearly?) life-sized version of a NASA space shuttle with a roller coaster around it. Unfortunately, it permanently closed in January 2018, but the replica space shuttle is close to the street and fun to see.
This museum is also close to an airport, and a short train from the Shinkansen (bullet train), so it was one of the easier museums to get to on this trip.
